Melody Ott, LCSW
Clinical Supervisor & OCD Specialist
I have spent over two decades working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in both clinical and faith-based settings. Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to creating spaces where people feel supported, understood, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges with clarity and hope. As a wife and mother of three, I bring both professional experience and lived perspective into the work, recognizing the complex demands individuals and families face in today’s fast-paced world.
I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University in 1998 and have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2000. My clinical training includes advanced certification in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, as well as specialized training in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Child and Adolescent Anxiety Treatment. I am also a registered 200-hour yoga teacher, which informs my belief in a holistic, integrated approach to healing that considers the mind, body, and emotional experience as interconnected.
At Compass Counseling, my primary role is to provide clinical leadership and supervision while supporting the growth and development of our clinicians. I am passionate about mentoring therapists-in-training and ensuring that the care provided within our practice is ethical, evidence-based, and grounded in compassion. While my focus is on supervision and practice development, I offer limited therapeutic support as needed, particularly in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety-related concerns.
It is an honor to be part of a practice dedicated to thoughtful, client-centered care. I look forward to supporting both our clinicians and clients as Compass Counseling continues to grow as a place of healing, balance, and meaningful change.
